Craftiness runs in our family...My mom is a wonderful seamstress and use to whip up outfits, dance recital costumes, leotards, beautiful quits for us & my dad can build anything you ask with wood, metal, concrete..both are certainly talented. My sister and I are both blessed with the crafty gene. She and I opened an Etsy shop in early 2011. It's always a good time when we get together in the local fabric store.. our brains start running a million miles a minute and we often have to stop ourselves.
I began cake decorating in the late 1980's I worked for Baskin Robins & taught myself how to decorate cakes & pies. In 2008, the cupcake bug hit me and I started making cupcakes & cakes. I didn't want them to just taste good, I wanted them to look pretty too. I signed up for the Wilton Cake Decorating classes with my friend Kim and learned so many tips & techniques that have brought me to where I am today..able to create just about anything. I don't use any crisco in my buttercream.. I refuse! I am also lucky that my friends & family ask me to bake for them because I love doing what I'm doing but can't afford to bake & eat it all myself.
I love "meeting" other cake/cookie/cupcake bloggers out there... everyone is so nice & they don't hesitate to share their creations. If there is something you would like to know more about, please feel free to email me at sweetcreationsbystephanie @ gmail.com
Enjoy!
