Monogram cookies are great for personalized gifts, weddings and showers.
I made monogramed cookies for my sisters's baby shower with a simple font
so I wanted to try something a little more fancy like the G below:

First I outlined & flooded the cookies
Then I let them dry overnight.
Using my light pink Americolor food markers I drew the G on the cookie
as thin as possible so I could pipe over it. I admit, I was a little intimidated by the curly design but
as thin as possible so I could pipe over it. I admit, I was a little intimidated by the curly design but
it got easier and easier as I went on. Try it. You can also cut a template with an xacto knife or a die cut machine such as the Silhouette SD or Sizzix Big Shot & trace it on the cookie if that's easier for you
Loving cookies that are consistantly the same thickness

square dowels make a world of difference !

I have an order next weekend for 4 dozen monogrammed cookies - and honestly I have been terrified about how I was going to make a swirly letter transfer and not break it moving it to the cookie..... and you have saved my sanity, my friend! lol. I just ordered some americolor pens and I'm going to make a little template :) THANK YOU for sharing your tips!!!
That was my worry too, transfering a fragile swirly letter. This worked really well for me, hope it works for you too.
I haven't yet gotten into decorating cookies but this cookies is so inspiring! It is so clean, I love the edges, the smoothness and the letter, beautiful :)
