and for her Birthday..she got a new pair of brown & pink cowgirl boots! YeeHaw!
I made her a chocolate cake with custard filling & vanilla /pink swirl cupcakes..
Within 5 minutes the Birthday girl was already taste testing one of the cupcakes
(12" white ceramic stand with ribbon from Home Goods)
The paisley & dots on the side of the cake was done with royal icing. I piped the designs on wax paper. Once they were dry I peeled them off & saved them until I put the cake together. Best thing about royal icing decorations is they can be stored for months if stored properly. All other pieces are made with fondant. I piped her name with royal & then added disco dust (love that stuff! Just received a few more bottles & shaker containers from Karen's Cookies yesterday)
Cupcake stand can be purchased from Pottery Barn
And thank you, Annelise, for the cowgirl necklace!
Yee Haw!
