Flower centers

I've been referring to Sweet Sugar Belle's blog a lot lately because I am so in LOVE with her work and she is constantly sharing her tips with us!   Last week she blogged about making flowers and flower centers with left over royal icing. I had leftover yellow from my royal icing flowers so I thinned it & made flower centers for cookie pops & cupcakes for my aunts' Mom's 75th Birthday Party.






I made a template for my circles so they would all be somewhat similar in size

Put a piece of wax paper over the guide and start piping with Wilton tip #10

keep your icing inside the lines..it will settle and will fill in the lines
(does anyone else find it a bit difficult to take step by step pictures while trying to decorate? Please ignore the fact that I set my tip down in the royal icing..clearly didn't mean to do that!!!)

When done, leave as is or sprinkle with disco dust or sanding sugar
