1. Dye a large ball of fondant - Moss Green
2. Divide the ball in 3 equal parts
3. Set aside ball #1
4. Add some brown dye to ball #2 & mix
5. Add some black dye to ball #3 & mix
you should now have 3 shades of green
6. Roll a small piece of green in any shape
7. Add a small piece of green #2 closely to green #1
8. Add a piece of green #3 closely to green #1 & green #2
11. Using a 2 1/4" circle cutter cut out cupcake toppers
(I forgot to take a picture of my cutter)
11. Easy as that... now let them dry overnight.

Hi Stephanie
Do you think this same process would work for covering an entire cake?
Yes, Toni, it would. Just make bigger blocks of color & pack it tight then roll it out
Thanks I'm about to do it now so i'll send you a picture when the cake is done.

Hi Stephanie,
thats a great tutorial.I made a camo tank cake a couple years back and my fondant technique was almost the same as yours. Now I keep receiving requests for a tutorial on my website, but I am on along-term traveling trip and have no opportunity to re-create the cake for step-by-step pictures. Would you permit me to share your pictures with link back to your site?
Regina, feel free to share as you wish.
Thanks for asking
Stephanie
Thank you, Stephanie <3
Hey stephanie, would you mind sharing how or where you got the camo fondant? Thanks :) alicia
Hi Alicia,
I dyed the fondant myself with the colors in the 1st picture, top of the blog.

Thank you so much for the easy tutorial! I used it to create a pink camo fondant with light pink, bright pink, white and med gray. It turned out perfect!
