Carrot Cake with Crusting Cream Cheese Frosting.. Happy Birthday Linda!

Crusting Cream Cheese Buttercream


½ cup butter, softened
¼ cup white shortening
8 oz cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar
¼ tsp salt

Cream butter, shortening, cream cheese and extract. Gradually add confectioners' sugar and salt. Beat on low speed until nice & creamy.

I really like the piping on the edges of this carrot cake. It's simple but it's exact looking. Your icing is the perfect consistency. And of course the little orange flowers are just precious. Beautiful cake.
